Second Avenue Caper, written by Joyce Brabner and illustrated by Mark Zingarelli, won the Best LGBT Graphic Novel of 2014 at the 27th Annual Lambda Literary Awards (the "Lammys"). Winners were announced an a gala ceremony hosted by comedienne Kate Clinton at The Great Hall at Cooper Union on June 1, 2015. Those Rebels, John & Tom, (Scholastic Press) by Barbara Kerley and illustrated by Edwin Fotheringham, has been selected by the Children's Book Committee at the Bank Street College of Education as one of the Best Children's Books of the Year for 2013. It was also named one of New York Public Library's "100 Titles for Reading and Sharing" in November of 2012;an Orbis Pictus Honor book for 2013; and has received a number of starred reviews, including Publisher's Weekly.
